photovoltaic system
Providing the PZEM-017 module in combination with any SBC (single board computer) we provide the measurement of DC voltage, current, power and energy consumption of the any used photovoltaic system.

PZEM-017
It is a DC communication module that can measure DC voltage up to 300 volts.
Current measurement is subject to external parallel connections within the range of 50-300 amperes.
It has a built-in RS485 communication interface using the Modbus-RTU protocol, similar to most industrial devices.
Measured values can be collected using an RS485 to UART converter and graphs can be generated using any SBC (single board computer).
Implementation with RaspberryPi
Two PZEM-017 modules including two RS485 converters connected to the Raspberry Pi were chosen for measuring the photovoltaic panels and the battery pack.
Within the Raspberry Pi SBC, sets of scripts (bash, perl, python) were written, through which graphs including web pages providing relevant data are collected, evaluated and generated.
